In Aiello, you can take in the fascinating passage of time by admiring over 100 sundials scattered throughout the local hamlets or by visiting the large Museum of Rural Life of Imperial Friuli, which houses over 25,000 exhibits. The museum also includes a fine collection of Landini tractors, with around 50 vehicles still fully operational.

You can walk in the greenery of Aiello's harmonious countryside, discovering its four late medieval mills and the ancient Centa complex in Joannis. For keen shoppers, Palmanova Outlet Village with its 90 fashion brand stores is well worth a visit.

Try delicious local wines in the region's well-stocked cellars, stopping to admire the Castello D'Angeri-Antonini in Saciletto (1 km), or the Castello di Sotto and Castello di Sopra di Strassoldo (2 km). Alternatively, cycle along a beautiful bike path that in just over an hour takes you alongside a lagoon to the sea at Grado (25 km), a route that lets you breathe in the ancient history of Roman, early Christian and patriarchal Aquileia with its wonderful mosaics (16 km). Nearby is the Venetian fortress of Palmanova (6 km).
